I've got the Fast800 books, I don't know how different they are. I can't do 800 for long enough to get through the need for carb binges.

Dishes I've made out of that book:
Chicken lime laksa (p63) but minus the butternut squash because I didn't have any - ''That was really tasty' - OH
Roasted red peppers with anchovies p80
Chinese pork meatballs p85
Chicken wrapped in Parma ham p.89
Spicy tuna patties (I made the full quantities and froze the spare ones, that worked well) p.90
Chilli squid with lentils p93
Salmon with lemon and dill nut crust on roasted veg p94
Spicy stuffed red pepper with lentils p123
No pasta beef lasagne p125
Chicken korma p.131
Smoked mackerel + mushroom frittata p132 (OH liked this more than I did)
Moroccam meatballs in tomato sauce p.135
Low-carb pizza p.136
Lamb tagine p.139
Spanish chicken with chorizo and beans p.141
Coq au vin p142
Skinny aubergune 'lasagne' p146 (Slightly disappointed with this - the aubergine needed longer cooking I felt.)
Chicken and mushroom 'pie' p148
Baked fish &chorizo parcels p152
Gammon steak with red cabbage
Easy roast chicken with garlic and thyme p.155
Chickpea flatbread p 183

:-)

A lot of these dishes are very similar to meals I have always cooked - the coq au vin, or the chicken wrapped in Parma ham, baked fish parcels, but it's been good to be reassured that they fit with my eating plan. Some of the timings in the recipes are a bit off, as I have felt some things needed longer to be really delicious, but basically I haven't yet had anything I was disappointed in.

The diet book: I followed the diet plan the firs time I did this diet and pretty much stuck to it for 4 weeks, so all the recipes that are included in the plan are ones I've made. We liked most of then - apple and nut butter and the no carb bircher became regular breakfasts. The vegetable curry is really tasty; I've made it using tikka masala paste.
The recipe book: I've made most of the breakfasts and brunches.
Other favourites:
Bacon and broccoli fry up pg 53
Ploughmans Pg 58
Satay chicken kebabs - big thumbs up Pg 61
Red pepper and squash soup - Pg 68
Cauliflower cheese - Pg 83
Quiche in a dish - Pg 86
Chicken goujons - Pg 88
Chicken wrapped in parma ham - Pg 89
Salmon 3 ways - Pg 94/96
Kedgeree - we left out the curry powder Pg 97
Carbonara/ puttanesca / fried rice on Pg 110/111
Roasted beetroot and fig salad - Pg 119
Stuffed red pepper - Pg 123
Thai fish cakes - Pg 126
Pork in mustard sauce - Pg 128
Chicken korma - Pg 131
Thai curry / mackerel frittata - Pg 132
Lamb tagine - Pg 139
Goulash - Pg 140
Coq au vin - Pg 142
Creamy fish bake - Pg 145
Chicken and mushroom pie - Pg 148
Lamb hotspot - Pg 149
Pancetta, broccoli gratin - Pg 151 (we're having this tonight)
Baked fish and chorizo - Pg 152
Crunchy red coleslaw - Pg 158
Chickpea flatbread - Pg 183
Orange cupcakes - Pg 185
Pear and nut chocolate brownies - Pg 193 (Mr GM really likes these)

We also make bolognaise, lasagne, chilli but not specifically following the recipe in here.

I'm planning to have a go at those brownies soon GM!

I've not followed the meal plan, just picked what I fancy from the book for our evening meal. I started adding a grated apple yo my breakfast porridge but then decided I preferred it just with a sprinkle of cinnamon. I use jumbo oats and weighed out however many grams I was supposed to have - and discovered that I had been having about twice as much as I should! For lunch I make a little salad of chopped apple, crumbled feta and cucumber or something like that. I sprinkle a bit of cider vinegar over my salads too - I have read in this book and elsewhere that that's helpful for weightloss.

Thank you ladies. My biggest problem issue on just first glance is breakfasts. Doesn’t seem to be much other than eggs or porridge. Would need to get up 5 or 10 minutes earlier to make scrambled eggs -not that much of a hardship as I was doing that for a run anyway.

I make my porridge in the microwave - if I soak it the night before it makes it creamier but often I forget to do that!

I’m not a lover of porridge but I suppose with fruit on top it may help. I take it I’m not allowed cereal
