Yoghurt with berries and seeds is a good breakfast - would that be any good for you, LG?

Apple with almond butter, from the diet book, is quick and delicious - I buy almond butter instead of making it and you can use other nut butters instead. I have that at least once a week.

The no carb bircher is also quick and easy - I mix the orange juice, sultanas, flax seed and cinnamon the night before and put it in the fridge so it is ready to add to the yoghurt the next morning.
Another alternative is to make some ham and egg muffins so you have something ready prepared in the fridge for breakfast. I make in bulk and freeze some.

Thanks GM, as I said just a quick look.. you and berries I would like. I know this sounds daft but Almond butter just sounds wrong and fattening. This will be a whole new world lol

It's only a few grams and combined with the apple is a low calorie meal but the fat in the nut butter is what stops you feeling hungry. I sometimes just have a spoon of peanut butter if I don't have time for a meal but am peckish.
You could have 30g of cheese with some ham - it's more of a continental style breakfast; I don't know why we don't have cheese for breakfast more in this country.

LD, the coconut milk in the chicken Laska - would that be full fat or light? I think I will have to retrain my brain

I'm thinking I might try this in April - I'm too focused on work in March (big deadline at the end of the month) so I've shelved any serious attempts to shift lockdown lard until then.

I have ordered (at OH's suggestion, but he never actually *does* anything to follow through ;-) ) a three course takeaway from a really nice French restaurant in town for Mother's Day dinner. I suspect my weigh-in on Monday morning is going to bring bad news :-0

Full fat, LG. Everything is full fat because it's the fat that fills you up for longer. It really is changing a lifetime of indoctrination! I use semi-skimmed milk just because I prefer it in a cup of tea.
I used to have a Mullerlight yoghurt every day. I can't stand them now - the taste of saccharine in anything low fat is horrible. The creaminess of full fat yoghurt doesn't compare.

Agree totally with the mullerlight versus full fat.
