Just noticed the last stroke was 32 so it's probably recording the last stroke rather than the average stroke, in the same way it records your final HR rather than average HR 🙄

Yeah, I think the app only shows final position when you're "live" but when you view it on the log through the app you get all the averages.

I think Concept2 need to do a bit of work on harmonising the log. You get a slightly different set of stats if you view the log through the app compared to what you get looking at it online direct onto the website. The website log also seems to show final position for HR rather than average, and the app access shows rest meters but not overall total including those rest meters. There are a couple of other minor things but it can get confusing when you use both at different times.

Did you get round to that 2k test Jef? I’ve just struggled through to a 7:28.6 and now I can’t stand up to get off the erg!🥵 |

I was waiting on a plan that’s being fleshed out for me and I expect I will be asked for a 2k for a baseline so… I think I’ll try one later today. My apps suggest I’m a bit fatigued but I think a 7:40 might be possible. |

The he app is pounded me down to a 7:28.7.😢😂😂😂 I surprised myself with that today. I set of with 1:53.5 as a target pace and was able to stay ahead of that right through and step it up for a finish. Good luck with yours then, mate. |

Nellers I was just about to ask you how the splits went and how steady you held it. What stroke rate were you averaging? 1:53.5 is my current 4 x 1km pace so I doubt I can hold that for a straight 2km. 1:55 possible. I may go a little conservative to avoid a collapse and handle down |

Splits and stroke rates: 1:53.1 @r29 1:53.2 @r29 1:52.1 @r31 1:50.4 @r31 So pretty much a controlled negative split, which I really am pleased with. Don't think I had much left in the bank at the finish but this is off just UT1 and 2 work recently so I didn't really expect to. At this stage there's nothing to be gained by going in all guns blazing and exploding before the line, Jef. Much better to play it a little safe, at least until half way, with the knowledge that if it's going well you can up it a little and if it's not you can still hang on and maintain. Last thing any of us need is a dent to the confidence with a big blow up! If you're thinking that 1:55 is possible why not aim to hit halfway on 1:56 and take it from there? Finding those 2 seconds if you've played it safe should be possible and if the 1:55 target really is the absolute limit you'll not find yourself featuring in the new series of Triggerpoint/Danger UXB (delete as applicable to your age group and viewing habits) at least. |

Thanks Nellers I don’t think I’d have been able to face this without you having a go Started a bit quicker than intended so backed off .. but then realised it wasn’t too bad so started to gently apply pressure all the way to the end. Resisted throwing a hard finish too remembering that this is training and not the race!! |
