Asked a rowing friend about the 6000m C2 standard - he had no idea but took the opportunity to share his 17:08 5000m PB with me (he rowed a lot at school & university). Quite speedy I think.
Tennis elbow is getting a bit better (about time too) so will venture back to rowing soon, albeit at far shorter distances and slower paces than most here!

Some good performances and lots of training going on amongst the Fetch Rowing community. Well done everyone.
I've buggered my back up so I won't be joining in with those performances for a good while, I think. I'll be back, though, and I'm trying to keep on top of what you lot are up to in the meantime.
Have I missed updating any new 2k PBs while I've been AWOL?

Damn Nellers, sorry to hear that. how did it happen ?
Is it one in, one out? As someone gets fixed, another gets broke.
No PBs here. Im registering some all time slows ! 8:13 is the fastest 2k I've managed so far since back on the rower. A slow climb back indeed.

Sorry, Sallykate, I missed the Tennis elbow issue there. Hope that wasn't rowing related and is good to go soon ? I was always told it was hard to get injured on the rower but I've seen it proved wrong quite a few times.
Also, I think we should have a bet on how many metres Muttley rows today on the new machine. many, many kms ?

Well it was a bit sore after doing weights a week or so back, then last Sunday I bent down to tie my shoelace and sneezed. That was pretty much that.
Got a good Physio looking after me and I'm starting to see a bit of slow progress back to normality but it's going to be a while before I'm confident enough to get on the rower I think.

Ach, sympathy to those on the bench. I've never had tennis elbow but I've heard it's painful. It is also the case, Nellers, that the worst injuries tend to come in the most stupid way. Healing vibes to both!

Some erg porn to lift the spirits and speed recovery:
Isn't she gorgeous? *swoon*
Note to self: Best to attach the front frame with the wheels facing forward, you know, like it shows you in the instructions. D'oh.
All seems good although RowPro doesn't see the PM5. Might be time to switch to ergwhatsit if I can figure out how to use it (not that hot with fancy fangled smartphones).
30 mins as a test drive just now, gotta get to it if I'm going to get anywhere near Jef's totals!

My tennis elbow is easing a bit I think - been there since August so a bit fed up with it now. I'll start some short sharp sessions next week, using the C2 for short HIIT work. As long as I don't grip the handle (just hook my hands on it instead) it should be fine.
