I am going to have a week off after Speyside way I think. Well that's the plan at the moment.
Here is a pic from Saturday - definitely feet in the clouds

Nice pic Lesley..and not a cloud in sight! So high you were also above the cloud cover!! You're pretty well spot on there Fenland..1,000 miles is..a 1,000 miles; thing is there are so many enthusiastic runners here that that total is almost bound to be exceeded by lots of us. And we never know what can happen in the months ahead either. It would be great if everyone completed 1,000 during December I suppose--I should reach 1,000 by October. There is always the 1,500 and 2,000 thread but the "threaders" here make for a good dialogue all the time don't they...

My knee is ok again but I'm only intending to do another fifteen miles this month even though Peter is so close behind me!

You're all well ahead of me after an awful month of non running for me. Too many late finishes at work.
I hope the new job I start Monday is more conducive to my running requirements :-). However I need to start my first week at 5am instead of going to bed then like I have been lately.
Hope to catch up a little bit soon, when I start my marathon training.

slipped down out of the fifty today and not surprised. I won't be shooting ahead Peter, I try to keep to 100 miles a month although I won't manage this month as I'm making sure the knee is completely ok. There are many months and years ahead! Enjoy the new job and new routine Fenland with hopefully more time for yourself.

No running since parkrun last Saturday. 10 mile road race this week, I hope my legs still work properly. I've only ran 3 times in the last 3 weeks, a total of 28 miles. I'm slipping down the table slowly or you're all pulling away from me to be more exact.
I hope the op goes well Peter albeit 3 weeks away still.
Steve I hope the knee is recovering well and you're back out soon.
Nice photo Lesley, shorts, hats and top coats

I almost lost the hat several times.
Good luck with your race, and all the best with your new job next week :-). You have plenty of time to catch up.
Better to take it easy Steve.

Another day kayaking but hope to do a few miles with group shortly. Conditions slightly more challenging today so will be good to loosen up.
