I've never had the nerve to try this, but your success is inspiring. (We have the same laundry basket). My next sewing project is to turn a super-king sized duvet cover into two singles. Mr Kath and I use single quilts (best night's sleep of my cohabiting life when I discovered that trick), but in the sales they only had one single of the fabric I liked. Buying a super-king-sized is also cheaper than two singles. |

I wouldn't have had the courage without SS's help. I thought about making them into a cushion cover or something simple, but SS suggested this top and I love it. The single duvet trick is one we discovered when we went to Sweeden. |

Mr JK and I spent a pleasant morning wandering around Cosby, a local village which has an annual spectacular yarn bombing. This year's theme is Fun and Games. Some synchronised swimmers: Some football supporting cows: Mr JK with some fairground horses: Tom Daley sitting knitting on a diving board: An enjoyable outing! |

I think I've found the reason why my last piece didn't work out the way I was expecting it to! Both these hooks are labelled 10.0mm. I've been using the blue one. Should have used the pink one, which really is 10.0mm, rather than the blue, which is more like an 8.0 ... |

I knitted a whole blanket square on the wrong needles (Iād put them in the wrong pack, only 0.5mm too small). As it was the next of a strip and in the middle it would have shown and would not have blocked to size so I had to completely redo it so I feel your pain! A needle sizer is one of the next things I have |

Needle sizers are very useful...especially when there are lots of double pointed needles and no numbers on them!!
