Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm going to be sewing up sweater then doing the neck this weekend. I started it two years ago, then stopped after finishing the lower body part. Sleeves were started in Canada last month, finished last weekend. Rest of the body to shoulders finished yesterday. Now Kitchener stitch shoulders together, sew in sleeves and knit the neck bit is left...

Yay, I've done Kitchener stitch properly for the first time ever...it is so tidy now! My sock toes going forward will be so much cleaner looking. :)

Good news, Garfield! Once you've 'got' it, it is easy and socks (and other grafted bits) look smooth.

Well done, Garfield, it's always good to get the hang of a new skill. Like Meglet, I have to look it up every time.

I have done a bit of knitting. My arthritic thumb joints are OK if I take it steady and just do a few rows at a time, though that is the tricky bit: making myself stop and put the knitting down!

Thanks, and I'll have to look it up a few more times before I truly get the hang of it. :)

Squeak wanted to be a pumpkin for the Monster Mash disco tonight, so rather than buying a polyester monstrosity, I made this after a brilliant suggestion from Silvershadow to use big t-shirts.

One £3.50 T from Amazon, a £1.50 pair of leggings. Some glow in the dark paint & everything else from the craft stash(es).

I'm pleased with the result.

Pip was a much less interesting ghost...
