North / Midlands / South is a bit blunt for the Brooks thing, but I suppose it doesn't really matter if some free Brooks trainers are on the line

Larkim, a junior parkrun for 4 to 10s only is hardly a mass gathering. I reckon if they get the go ahead, they should just go for it.

You and I know that. The local facebook police won't though Like I say, I've no actual insight into how things are progressing, it was just a thought that occured to me when I read the update yesterday. Maybe it's a more generic point; for "new" parkruns that didn't quite arrive per lockdown, I wonder whether they'll defer start up by a few weeks to ensure any local or national reaction to events taking place doesn't place an extra burden on new teams. |

Here's a question for the hive mind. I have a collection of loyalty points with a couple of hotel chains as a legacy of several years of travelling heavily for marathons. I need to both amass more points (I need to stay once a year to keep the account active) and possibly to think about spending some (not travelling as much, there's no need for me to have two loyalty accounts). I'm also going to have holiday to burn. When parkrun returns, therefore, maybe late July, August, I'm looking to do a bit of tourism. However, what I'm specifically looking for is parkruns that are located walking distance from a Hilton hotel (ideally with a swimming pool). Doesn't matter where in the country. It's a bit of a niche question, but there's knowledge out there... |

Hilton Leeds City is 1.5miles walk from Woodhouse Moor parkrun (the 1st parkrun outside London), and has an indoor pool.

Excellent call! Meets the needs for the family, not a massive drive from me, and on budget!

That comment applies to both Stoke and Leeds. Leeds is an absolute bargain for 2 interconnecting. |

Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor is not that far from Ruchill parkrun, which is a lesser collected one (though Fetch and Katie have it, as do some other Fetchie visitors) and is possibly my favourite Glasgow one. Hampton by Hilton at Hamilton Park (by the racecourse) is wanderable to Strathclyde parkrun, one of the fastest courses. There is another Hilton described as Strathclyde Park: unfortunately that's Strathclyde Business Park, not the nice park. This is about a parkrun from both Strathclyde and Drumpellier. |

Thanks Dvorak, that Grosvenor looks an interesting building.
