FR - I don't think you can compare what you're capable of in a single marathon, with the right training etc, with doing the quad. The quad's an awesome achievement, but it's much more like doing a multi-day ultra than a marathon. I reckon you're closer to sub-3:30 than you realise, but it's all got to come good on the day.

FR - Quad? That is crazy!! Was the 4th leg kayaking? I took some swimming lessons late last year and bought myself a bike with a thought I might do a tri but haven't really got into it so far and sticking with the running for now.

Clare - from memory at Abingdon there is only 1 lucozade station (which you pass twice) so not too many opportunities if you usually run with lucozade like I do. Had my wife handing me a bottle part of the way round to help!

Did you guys get out for a long run this weekend? Was struggling to motivate myself today given how awful the weather is- cold and raining non-stop. Managed to drag myself out thought at least in the end. Has anyone got any more upcoming preparatory races?
