You wanna come to Cornwall where 19 minutes will win you the Mount Edgcumbe parkrun most weeks (equal hardest in the country with Lanhydrock, technically harder as you finish 30m higher than you start)

You're right, I do want to come to Mount Edgcumbe!

Watergrove is 'only' 4th hardest but 19 minutes would be a clear win most weeks here too. I set a VW35 course record of 21:56 back in 2014 and it hasn't been beaten since :-)

Sounds very similar, 21.30 would even win it down here some weeks... I see one week in 2019, 22.40 odd won it, but I suspect it would have been torrential rain, and the offroad hairpin turns would be tough to negotiate. My 21.58 best got me 4th (and 2 ahead were dog runners, I'd try it with my dog, but I suspect he'd slow me down with too much sniffing and weeing).

25% of the Manchester 12 week plan done.

After a rubbish 11 mile MLR on Friday where everything felt very hard work, 20 this morning with 10 at 3:15 pace was probably my strongest run for a while. As usual planned to run at 7:30-7:40 pace but got greedy when I was averaging 7:27 after the first 2 MP miles. Still think sub 3:15 is too quick but let's see where another six weeks of consistency takes me. If only I could shift the kilos.

Plus managed to unexpectedly time my run along the river Dee to see the Bore which I've never seen before and my geography teacher better half will be impressed with (I hope!)

My long is now over an hour :-) Remarkably showed some restraint and haven't entered Manchester yet lol

More than likely will do Windermere.

Larkim, well done. 17 for me today. There is 17 on the plan next weekend too but I’m doing a half, so may do a couple either side of that. I’ll see.

I ‘need’ to get a marathon in before Manchester, which is my A race. I’m looking at Goodwood - anyone on here done it before? My understanding is it’s flat so a potentially fast course, but strong winds could be an issue as it’s an exposed circuit. Is that about right?

Why do you want to do a marathon before Mancs? Seems a big ask.
