What a day! I’ll do my normal limited stats/emotional type blog in due course but the bones are 3.15.03 and I’m delighted. Tricky course, tough day and all of my expectations surpassed.
Obviously I would have liked the ‘kudos’ of another sub3.15 but it wasn’t really the point.
I know Happy was out for more of a cruise and hope he enjoyed the day too.
Drinking heavily now and haven’t had a pee since 10.00 this morning. Cheers🍻

Well done Steve. You had a really good run there in what looked like some tough conditions and a tough course. I was following you and also some clubmates, all of whom had trained really hard and well but unfortunately things didn't go to plan for them. Some heroic digging in to get to the finish and earn the medals. Looked a deceptively tough course especially the 2nd half and warm humid conditions?
Enjoy the post-race celebrations!

Great run Steve. Well done. Look forward to the report. Sounds like tough conditions, despite some good times at the sharp end of the field.

Well done Steve. I watched the stream so had a good look at the course for the first time and to be honest it looked like my worst nightmare with almost none it it flat - a quad thrashing downhill start, and then loads of undulations in the second half to knock the stuffing out of you so that's a great time

Well done Steve, great time. Boston has the kind of topography I dream of, like Cornwall but a little flatter.

Sounds like a great run Steve, glad to hear a great upbeat post. Always a fan of the post-marathon session too; beer and food rarely tastes better (I found that feeling lasted about a month too :-)).
Big question - if you'd been wearing a watch, would you have gone 4 seconds faster?

Well done riggsy on sub 3.15 and a big PB. And well done SSteve here in Boston with a great performance. I had a complete mare! Over 4 hours! Don't mind though, was there for the experience!
Can't say what it was but I was cramping from 18 miles and could barely move by the end. Very sick too, puked my guts in train station! Ok this morning now though. Very sun burned back of neck! Great event and amazing support though. :-) G
