Cracking run riggsy, good to hear stories of a brave decision taken mid-race not ending in 6 miles of misery at the end!!

My Lent commitment to 2 miles per day was quickly forgotten after just 1 day of skiing last week, so I've not run since last Sunday, but fingers crossed the high mountain air and skiing have kept things ticking along anyway.

Still just under 6 weeks to Chester half, so plenty of time to sharpen up and get back on the P&D plan, though will need some flexibility with 2 races next week to fit in around work and Easter weekend.

Good luck to Boston (US) runners today, and I'm looking forward to the usual two weeks of London taper madness infecting this thread!

Knocked it out the park riggsy, wow it just shows that times are not always a great predictor, and how you feel is key.

Great stuff Riggsy, must have got a bit breezy in places yesterday as there is next to no shelter round there so you did very well to pick it up after halfway

Nice work riggsy. Looks like a well run race (looking at plits and HR in your training log entry). If you're new-ish to running (*), then keep on doing what you're doing, and enjoy going even faster next time.

(*) actually going reading your blog seems maybe you're a new returner to running?
