Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Set myself a target of running 20 mins tonight to see how far I get.

Managed 3.04 miles, nearly there...very pleased. I felt like I had plent in reserve at the end and I could have pushed myself a little harder. This is looking good...keep on working at it and hopefully I can be hitting sub 20 in the not to distant future :-)

Last night I did a varied intervals session which started with 4x800s then a few 500s etc all with a 100m jog recovery. The efforts saw me do 3.11 miles in 00:19:15. All I need to do now is do it all in one!

SO, still plenty of work to do but I'm getting closer! :-)

Next year...next year....
Only taken it seriously this year and my 5k pb has gone from 22m 16s in May on a hilly course to 21m 19s on a flat fast course. Really want to break 20mins next year, but I guess it'll take an awful lot of training... oh well here goes !
For you guys just above 20m it must be frustrating but awesome when you do do it !
Not in your league yet.

Count me in too!! I have only run 5k 3 times, PB so far 20:33 this year, PW 22:03 round Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh last year, not too many around here so I need to be able to exploit when I can - next opportunity is a Santa run early December!

Hello

Having done something like 80 5km runs in the last 2 years... I'm now on 20:06

Most of them are here parkrun.com

I actually think I could have gone much faster when I was back IMA training... but was busy focusing on not getting injured so missed out some of my best chances.

I am tempted to try breaking the 20 minute barrier as it might shut Gobi up.

However, actually I know that nothing shuts Gobi up...
