I am going to do lockdown lifting, get on the rowing machine and start running again - each of those three times a week. Trying to see this as breathing space and a chance to start things rather than feeling restricted.

The book idea with your mum is an excellent one, Pix. I do hope she plays ball (er, reads book!)
Sally that's such a good way of thinking. I just wonder whether NINE (eek!) sessions is too lofty a goal? How about seven - such a nice number - giving yourself the option of making it nine if you feel good? Two of each and one extra - ahem - Of Your Choice. Just an idea...

Lovely autumn weather here in London so I made the most of it on my last day: three mile walk round the Dalston Islington edge which is strangely enjoyable if the weather's ok. So many of the houses are middle range grand (three storey Victorian and Edwardian townhouses) and there's a lot of trees in the streets, all beautiful this time of year.
I'm going to do the Jennis 30 day abs challenge again - there 'are' rest days and I can make it work with my other training. Abs stuff is boring and hard so I need some sort of incentive. Today wasn't bad just 10 exercises x 10 reps of each. Takes about six minutes.
Then before I gets dark I nipped to my park and did 2 x 4 hill reps.
Rest day tomorrow (travelling) and tonight I will plan out next week's training.

I think my DOMS has settled enough to lift some more weights tonight after work. I'm always taken by surprise by how long I remain sore after the first session back.

It's a classic thing, V-rap. Mike (fit bloke in his 20s) and I from the old sprint group ALWAYS feel the same after a first weights session back.
Usually fine after the second.
Forgot to report my 5 knees ups in the park.

I expect to be fine after tonight's session, Sharkie In my head, though, I expected to be painfree by last night (3 days), and my abdominals are still tender today if I poke them.
