I'm not sure whether to try since I'll be away on holiday twice at important sunflower management points.

I'll be away for nearly 3 weeks end of April/beginning of May - my seedlings won't have a chance. But I live in hope

I shall be away almost all of May, I have seeds left from last year so nothing lost if I am unsuccessful.

Don't worry about going away. Get then used to being outside and they'll cope

I'll be going away while there's still a chance of frost, and for too long to keep them indoors without watering them. But if I plant the seeds in the next day or two and they survive being outside at the end of April, the June trip won't be so much of a concern.

Goes to rummage in the garage. I have some seeds from last years flower heads. Will try a few of those to see if they are viable.
