The tallest one I have was 6ft6 yesterday, with no sign of yellow yet, but a definite head forming. Its sibling is a few inches shorter, and looks like it might get several heads, which I didn't know could happen.

I've got some catching up to do. About 4 feet at the moment and growing like billyo :-)

Strategically placed next to a fence the sun sets behind to encourage em to chase the sun over the fence and grow quickly :-)

I grew what were meant to be multi-headed sunflowers last year, but I can't remember if they did that or if I just had very short sunflowers. Trying them again this year. I noticed yesterday that Home Bargains had very mini (about 12-18 inches?) multi-headed sunflowers for sale and I've bought similar before (a bit taller) from B&Q.

Highest plant here is 110cm (in ground). One plant so far (in a pot) forming a head, 97cm. Multis: short.

Mine isn't getting much taller than 2.5 feet but it has a blooming flower...the fact it's made it that far makes me happy! Our neighbour watered everything while we were up in Scotland last week. Warm days, cold nights...we forgot about how chilly it could get at night so had to buy a couple layers to keep us toasty at night.

Mine are pretty short still (maybe 3 ft) and beginning to wilt. I can’t decide weather or not to water them, it feels like a waste of water with all this talk of hose pipe bans. I think if there was a sign of rain coming and just getting them through a few days I might but there doesn’t seem to get any sign of the weather changing.

Water em Elsie, just use a watering can rather than a hose.

A watering can gives you the chance of adding Tomato Feed to the mix for extra growth ;-)

I've been watering mine with a bucket to minimise faffage and water waste and to be able to add food.

All mine flowering already. Well watered so can only assume the extra sun has pushed them into flowering...all about 3 to 4 foot.

The battle is hitting up. Mrs Dill just ahead, but Dill girl is making a late bid after recovering from earlier beastie damage. Mine is falling behind, I’ll have to give it a secret baby bio pep. Sat in a tray of water to keep them damp.

Very healthy looking plants Dill ^^^

My tallest is now 6ft 2 but they are all rather spindly and I have not been watering them consistently enough in this hot weather so a lot of lower leaves have gone brown.
No sign of flowers yet so I am hoping they have a good bit more growth to come.
