More dry stuff vrap? Pissing on compost is a common thing adds nitrogen. Pissing directly onto your cabbages presents a problem, mainly with my neighbours I would think.

More cardboard may well help. Part of the problem is that we have a lot of lawn.

Too much grass will tend to make the compost soggy. It should have an equal amount of green stuff and brown stuff - brown being dry. Shredded paper could help too, or leave the grass cuttings to dry out after cutting, then rake them up and add to the heap.

It's better if you pee on your garden by moonlight. In several ways.

Whilst out running last night I was chatting to someone whose husband is a one-person gardening business. Turns out he keeps the grounds for an outfit just up the road from me, amongst whose concerns is horses. I don't know if he is garnering commercial amounts, but apparently their own roses are looking fantastic.

I'm out of contention: something has something to my tallest. I can't even tell what's happened to it: not a clean break but almost looks like it's gone mouldy right at the top.

Ho hum.

Mine survived a fortnight of neglect while we were on holiday and the tallest has now sprung up to a massive height of 3 feet.
