Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My two sunflowers are doing well...not hugely tall but they're alive. That's a good start in my books!;)

Went on holiday for a week. Scorching dry then a storm blew them over. One still looks rough. Three planted out in the flower beds as too weedy...Three a bit meh...now all of a sudden down to 3 contenders 😣

After a slug attack a couple of weeks ago, these seem to have made a bit of a recovery, although the Dill kids ones are in the middle and are lagging behind. Mrs Dill is ahead by a leaf

Poppa (my dad) planted my second batch out on the garden this week. So far they're still alive. I need to get in on this tomato feed malarkey.

Mine has reached 1.50m. Last year's got to about 2.9m by September.

Pee is good for making compost - it's nitrogen-rich and acts as an accelerator.

Sadly, our compost heap is overlooked by a kids' tree house, otherwise eL Bee! would be right on to nitrogenating the compost.

My compost is still not very convincing. It's mostly going mouldy rather than rotting properly. I'm going to leave the heap uncovered for the rest of the summer to see if that helps.
