Either my "walk" around Pontypridd beforehand tired me out, or, more likely, it was the real very thorough kitchen cleaning I did yesterday afternoon in barter payment for my lodgings which didn't do my legs any good . That meant I managed to run only 8 miles today instead of the usual 13/14.
