um - I think that's a home-made 360 streetview by a passing tourist. It's a comical picture, that's for sure.

Most of the route follows roads that have been filmed by the normal streetview camera cars, so the coverage will be pretty good. There are one or two stretches where I have taken the route off road to follow nice bits of towpath or hiking routes - you'll find them in due course ...

This sounds fabulous, Synge. I really enjoyed the SWCP challenge last year but *whispers* haven't felt so engaged with the JOTR challenge on NZ highways. This sounds much more fun. Thank you again for all the time and effort put in.

This is way more fun than trudging up the M6, which is what I’m currently doing for LEJoG. I might just log all my miles for that at the end and forget about it in the meantime!
