I've often wondered why people put flagpoles up in their front gardens... Seems like an expensive undertaking and to what effect?

I'm moving house soon and have every intention of erecting a flagpole. I will alternate between the Union Flag, a Royal Navy ensign and the Yorkshire white rose. I will enjoy it a lot.

Haven't seen much bunting on my Cambridgeshire,. Norfolk and Suffolk travels. I do need to check the house in Isleham for flags, he usually festoons it - cycled the back way on Wednesday so missed his place.

Interesting. Our street in North Yorkshire is festooned with it.

There’s noticeably less compared to last year’s jubilee bunting.

This is the chap who decorates his house wisbechstandard.co.uk

That's fighting talk my friend. It's easy to be brave when you're behind a keyboard and the person you're trying to insult is at a safe distance.

Fizz :-)
And for good measure I’m now watching the BBC news programme on the overnight rehearsals for the processions :-)

(But I’m out of here now. Long live the King)

Would you like my address then?

About This Thread

Maintained by Muttley
So will you be waving your little union jack and pledging your allegiance and scoffing coronation chicken or quiche at a street party?

Or ignoring the whole bloated exhibition of flummery and forelock tugging to inherited privilege and finding more important things to do?

I'm in the latter camp :-)
