Just back from swimming - first one for a couple of weeks due to being ill - I only did 20 lengths but I feel really, really weak now.

20 lengths is good McG
Could you have not swapped your fast days about if there was cake, or is there cake every day.

Also are you allowed bonus calories by doing exercise on fast days?

The slight problem with swapping the days is that I come to work prepared with a minimal sarnie and I've also pre-booked minimal dinner wi' t'Missus. It's good to pass such temptations anyway, I guess.

There's no treats left now anyway - the vultures have all got em!

I have been torturing myself on my fast day by making white chocolate and cranberry muffins for a cake sale this Thursday - I stayed strong and didn't lick the bowl or the spoon, and I have gathered up all the bits that have spilled out of the cases while they were cooking without eating any of them (I have saved them for tomorrow, however ;-) )

Well done everyone! Fast days are Wed (at Dads') and Sun (working) this week - gorged over the weekend, with birthday drinks, stinking hangover, and have been starving since Smokies 10 Miler on Sunday (not sure I could fast after a long run).

I also bought Kate Harrison's 5:2 Cookbook, and found it really interesting, with a lot of recipe ideas, lots of other peoples' experiences, and how they get through it when it gets tough.

Started re-reading the Mike and Mimi book last night, just to remind myself why I am fasting in the first place :-)

Normal day today, 2nd fast of the week tomorrow

1st fast day today, changed my fast as I was at bootcamp again last night. Blummin starving though today, have been thinking about food since I got up this morning.
Just got back from a 2 mile run, my 1st run in nearly 3 weeks. Hoping this means my mojo is returning.

Chocolate and cranberry muffins sound amazing :-)

Jaks - they are quite lush, actually :-) It just goes to show how sad I am that I gathered up all the bits that fell off the muffins, and saved them to eat this morning when I got up - I should probably try to get a life at some point ...
