Good point re Cannon St BK!

It’s worth pointing out that all the starts are accessible from all the stations if it isn’t convenient to get to the recommended station.

On previous years when I've been on Green I used to get the train to Maze Hill from Cannon Street. I'd usually get a seat then the next stop was London Bridge where most people got on and it would be really busy there

First day for the Expo today I believe? Can't imagine it is really any different to last year (my first), but if anyone goes today and discovers something interesting, please post on here about it. First question from me will be - dark blue, or black? What colour *is* that t-shirt?

I remember my journey last year. Onto DLR at Tower Gateway…few stops then suspended. Panic walk to Canary Wharf, back to London Bridge, train out to Maze Hill.

Eventually arrived at Green start 1hr 30 later than planned, stressed, with minimal prep time.

Everything felt frenzied and off, never got the HR down in the early miles due to residual stress/adrenaline and the race got very hard late trying to hit B target (3:15).

Hope it’s calmer this year!

If anyone uses Maurten and wants a small memento of this year's race, I saw on Facebook

that Alton Sports/Maurten are selling marathon kits which includes the Maurten range plus a bag and London 24 water bottle. They had them at Berlin and the water bottle makes a nice memento (although I'm sure most of us have all the water bottles we need already!)

Wow, I don't think I could handle 1h30 delay!!

I'm a bugger for arriving places early, which my better half will hate on Sunday. But I'm good at getting up "early" in the morning, so a 5:45am alarm in the hotel won't be an issue for me, so that I can shower, make some porridge pots, have a coffee, "drop the kids off at the pool" (sorry!) and leave about 6:45 to try to make a 7am tube from Edgware.

That should pretty much guarantee me a train from London Bridge by about 8:15 and be walking up to the starts around 8:30-8:45 latest to arrive at the pens by about 9am. That suits me, as I'm a 10:05 start. She'll be there a bit early for her 10:30 start, but it does mean I should have at least an hour's potential "risk" time to mop up and still have a calm start!

I had a quick scan and couldn’t see Coros, Mr. K., although there may be general retailers that might be able to help?
