NRGEE May 2023 5:03am, 13 May 2023 684 posts	0 NRGEE Due to a mental health crisis I was unable to complete the VIRTUAL TCS London marathon. I have been given the all clear physically by the DRs to run again and do this marathon. I am planning on running it saturday May 20th. I contacted the marathon people and they say if I download my time and distance i can still have a medal and a t shirt. I have raised nearly £1000 for the mental health charity MIND

After getting lucky in the ballot yesterday, I couldn’t find a thread, so thought I’d start one. Bit of background: I ran 7 marathons (2 London, 2002 and 2006) between 2002 and 2016, fastest 4:06, slowest 5:09. Major health issues in 2017 and 2019 and I felt that my marathon days were over, but I kept entering the ballot, safe in the knowledge I wouldn’t get in - and now I have! I am probably looking at walking the whole way, or possibly jeffing. I’m very excited and very nervous!
