Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

larkim are you on yellow? They have a tent to hide in and keep warm on that start 😀. As long as you are able to survive the intense Deep Heat aroma then it’s a good place to hang out!

Are folk leaving phones/keys etc in kit bags or are you bring with you for the 26.2 miles?

I have a disposable (don’t want any more) sleeping bag and a pac-a-mac plus 2 carrier bags fir feet pre race. I might be too snug to emerge for my start 🤣🤣🤣

I'm currently rounding up all the old plastic bags that "might come in useful" and scratting around for elastic bands. And considering whether the fact that Tink has left a dozen coats here means that she doesn't want them and won't notice if one disappears.

I need to find an old hoodie/coat to wear. It’s at times like these I wish I wasn’t so keen on clearing stuff out.

I'm also lamenting the fact that I don't keep clothes beyond the point at which I'm willing to be seen wearing them.

Not sure that Tag Heuer will be thrilled to have their name associated with an embarrassingly wrong countdown clock on the website page!

(I was just looking up the start time.)

Well I suppose it’s correct as virtual runners can start at midnight. There are a group starting at midnight from the finish on the Mall and running the course in reverse.

About This Thread

Maintained by Kirsty
After getting lucky in the ballot yesterday, I couldn’t find a thread, so thought I’d start one. Bit of background: I ran 7 marathons (2 London, 2002 and 2006) between 2002 and 2016, fastest 4:06, slowest 5:09. Major health issues in 2017 and 2019 and I felt that my marathon days were over, but I kept entering the ballot, safe in the knowledge I wouldn’t get in - and now I have! I am probably looking at walking the whole way, or possibly jeffing. I’m very excited and very nervous!
