Daughter is off to Manchester to study English Literature. Everything sorted apart from student loan - fingers crossed nothing goes wrong there (it's not totally straightforward as she did IB outside of the UK - the university accepts her as a home student but SLC has different rules, apparently).

The Boy's course of choice has been added to clearing. We're taking this as a good sign that demand is such that there might be a bit of flexibility when it comes to grades.

Daughter hadn't applied anywhere last autumn so went through clearing. She didn't quite have the points specified in the course information but they took her anyway.
