Today son 2 and his partner who have been living with us most of this year signed on a house rental and will start moving out on Saturday.
Also today son 1 who is an instructor at an outdoor activity centre finally had enough of the HMO that he and several other instructors live in: several of the other instructors treat it as a student squat and son having to evict a mouse from the kitchen worktop was the final straw. On Sunday he starts moving his stuff back home and will be commuting from here rather than living pretty much on site.

Yet another all change: Son 2 had a trial day at a different doggy day care on Monday and has been verbally offered a job. Once he gets written confirmation he'll hand in his notice at current place where he feels they have too many dogs and don't provide enough targeted care/stimulation.
Son 1 handed in his notice today. The centre he's at is short staffed but still booking as many groups as it can. They've been told they'll be running groups of 16 kids rather than 12, and that it's quantity not quality. Josh sees his role as for example helping that kid that's scared of heights to overcome their fear and conquer the climbing wall, or abseil etc. That takes time that he won't have with larger groups, so he's walked. He does have an interview later in May at another centee, but nothing certain.

My eldest having finished his degree last year and since then been mainly doing odd jobs around the house has accepted a job, and found a house and moves away to Glasgow next week. All of a sudden going from being entirely dependent on us to total independence

Eldest split up with her current partner just before Christmas. We really liked him and thought that he might be ‘the one’. Sadly not to be. He just turned up at our front door to return a book he had borrowed and a beautiful gift for me with a note thanking us for our ‘hospitality and kindness’ toward him. Another difficult aspect of parenting!

Aw Winnie, that's a shame. Is your younger daughter (who I met) still happily married? Hope not UNhappily.

Raptors Claws are coming to town
Aw, that's sad, WW :(

(My oldest daughter's first fiancé lived in my house for about a year and never returned my breadmaker or my Irn Bru running vest.)
