Youngest daughter left uni, posted her CV online and got invited for a job interview the next day. She started five days later as the lowest of the low in a conveyancing firm inputting data and checking 'evidence' - and absolutely loves it! Apparently watching the little box turn green to say that the check is complete is exciting - as it working 9 to 5 and having evenings and weekends off!! Long may it continue.

[My son finished that course last year - and I'm aware of a number of his peers being able to pick and choose between a number of lucrative/interesting offers. Getting a LinkedIn profile and practising some of the online algorithm/ programming tests would be just as helpful as writing a CV.]

A lot of the big tech companies start graduate recruitment around now - trying to get the best candidates locked in for next summer. If his LinkedIn profile is OK, I'd expect recruiters to be contacting him more and more often as the year goes on. (Everyone I speak to in the industry is struggling to fill their electronics/ computer science graduate positions.)
