PB attempt went south in the very warm conditions today. Still it was nice to have a social run with friends.

42:42 for me at Langport today. Have been injured and a bit knackered of late, so that's probably my lot for this year. Almost 90 secs off last year's best, so mustn't grumble :-) How's it going for everyone else.

Haven't done a 10k or 5k this year and DNF'd my marathon. The only race I have completed is the very short but brutal Steel Fell. And that nearly completed me, Suffolk doesn't prepare you for hills like that.

I have a half and maybe a marathon coming up!

You'd be fine in Cambs, Mr D. We go to Suffolk for our hill training.

Hello. Resurrecting this old one!!

This is my aim for 2016. My PB is 42.49, it's 3 years old nearly. I've run a 42.50 this year and loads of early 43s. I have only run a handful this year and planning on running lots more next year. Anyone else or am I on my own?

My first is on 10 Jan but it's definitely NOT a PB course (Woodcote), they pride it on being hard, the 2nd half is all massively uphill. I'm doing a flat fast one in Jan at the end of the month.

I need to get better at 5k, I'm rubbish and can pretty much only just do 42 min pace so have some work to do there as well!!

In a slightly tricky position that I can run only 3-4 X a week and not do speed work due to pretty big ongoing injury I need to manage. I do speed work type stuff on the bike plus a hell of a lot of cycling though which I hope will get me where I need to be
