Tempo boosts for me brunski, plenty of support but light enough, the supernovas are a little heavy to race in for my liking but still not a bad choice

I don’t know what a tempo boost is. Being a bit of a baldy I do tend to wear a cap on sunny days - last Sunday was cloudy enough I didn’t bother. Still tipped a fair bit of water on my head.

Water on your head and down the back of your neck is best for cooling if it does turn out hot - but there's plenty of time for the forecast to change yet. I must admit I prefer the London forecast to mine for Sunday - I tend to do better in the heat than most. I have optimistically packed my running sunnies, just in case.

Had to laugh at that Brunski, a shame you've already found a home for it though as I struggle to get caps small enough, I tend to end up running along holding on to mine with one hand which isn't a particularly effective running style - so I end up not bothering.

My calf is bothering me and decided to take a rest day for today and maybe a couple of days to let it settle. Its a bit of an odd one. Hadnt felt anything but during my sports massage on Wednesday the masseuse noted my calf was twitching and asked if I felt anything. I didn't. A while later though I got a touch of cramp in the calf and its been incredibly tight ever since..

Hopefully it's just the taper talking Baz.

Rest day for me today too, hadn't planned it but I am so over being cold and wet - pouring again here this morning and normal routes flooded in places - my head struggles with not running but four miles this morning are not going to make any positive difference to my performance on Sunday. It also gives me time for baking and more carb loading:-)

It’s not the taper it’s something real but I don’t think it’s a worry or not if I rest it anyway. It seemed to be sports massage related and just cramped up. Just need it to loosen off.
