That’s a brilliant run JDA - enjoy the well-earned rehydrating process.

Yeah, pretty satisfied with that. Set out around 2:47 pace, felt very easy (but doesn’t it always) and then just a slight drift in pace until the very last few km when the left leg started to play up again. Will blog in more detail some time. A week of schnitzel and cake to enjoy now (already in airport lounge).

Top running JDA, that's a cracking effort mate, well done and congrats on the PB, halved the gap to the 2:45 you're after, brilliant!

Well actually that’s the slight disappointment. I haven’t halved the gap, I chipped 3 mins off and have 4 still to go. Would have been a whole lot happier sub 2:48 but can’t have everything!

Congratulations jda - that's a cracking chunk to take off your PB at this stage. Enjoy the break.

Congrats JDA from a very envious Rotterdam DNF’er. Made it to about 30k (admittedly only on for about 3:04 pace) before my knee gave out and I decided it was stupid to aggravate it and continue and end up with a time that I wouldn’t have been happy with anyway. Bed time now so will report back fully early in the week but thanks again to everyone for the kind words. I’ll be back.
