Nice, Gene .
And how did it go, SV?
I'm in for Alloa in six weeks, aiming to set at least a course best (so 1:57.something). My current paces don't suggest sub-2 but I surprised myself with 18 km+ last week (in 2:09, mind) so I'm hoping that, as usual, its always faster on race day.

Well done Gene, very good going given the conditions.
2:03:26 for me. Found it very tough going in the later stages running into strong headwinds. Would have been sub 2hr had it not been for storm Imogen 😟
First 9 miles in 81 mins , then 42.5 mins for next 4.1 miles. Looking for the positive though, it was 5 mins quicker than last year 😀
5 weeks till Colchester half so onwards and upwards, just hope there's no storm Jane or storm Kevin to put another spanner in the works.
Good luck at Alloa Dvorak

Well, improvement :-). Hope you get better weather for the next go.
Alloa generally has some interesting winds. There is a four mile section, more or less straight, along what is called the Hillfoots. Because it is not far above sea level, at the foot of 2000 ft hills.
I've run it in varying headwinds: 20mph last year, 35 mph and snow another year. Around once every five years, it's a tailwind.
That was last year. I didn't run. Oh well ;-).

I've used the Runners World ones with success Paulina - though they are mileage heavy

I'm a big fan of the Runners World Smartcoach ones, although I always use the US website which seems to have more options.

Not as such Paulina, I just kept plugging away until I went sub-2 on the tenth attempt. And I went to Spain for that. Run one on holiday, that's my suggestion :-).
What kind of mileages have you been doing in training? How many long runs? Do you fade off at the end?

Dvorak - you were absolutely right, I had a disastrous Marathon. I had an injury through 2015 and thought I could xtrain my way to marathon fitness. I was wrong. In the end, I had to be away for work for St Neots half too. And I haven't really run since. It killed my mojo. Small steps now, and maybe this will become a goal again in the future!
