Clacton half on 21st Aug next up for me, hopefully it won't be in the middle of a heatwave!

Gosh that's a while in hibernation Mave! Good luck for a returning mojo.

I seem to have gone a bit not running much. I'd plans for one in about a month but two weeks of not doing much seems to find my fitness having dropped off a cliff.

It is Dvorak! I'm coming out of the quagmire and slowly getting back into it. I need a plan really.

My fitness has seriously dropped off a cliff, and thats really hard to deal with. I struggle with a 5k these days.

2:04:14 at Clacton. Nice flat course along sea front, very warm but surprisingly strong winds prevented a sub 2 hr. Oh well, there's always the next one, not sure when that will be, maybe not untill Gt Bentley in February.

I'm kind of bored of Bentley - hence traveling to Farnborough which is a couple of weeks earlier - with huge potential for really bad weather but hey. Change is as good as and all that.

Good attempt in tough conditions SV runner. Nothing in a few weeks? You are trained up, after all.

I didn't do my HM a couple of weeks ago. Had though of run walking it (so more like a 2:30) but I wasn't even sure about that. Longest run over the last few weeks of nearly! 9 km. Better get my butt in gear if I'm to do anything over 10 km this Autumn.

Have entered Gt Bentley and Colchester half's next Feb and Mar.
However after a back problem (now recovered) closely followed by a knee problem I seem to have completely lost my running mojo, currently running only minimal miles on the treadmill 😟
Hoping for things to improve pretty soon if I'm to get anywhere near 2hrs in the new year.
How's everyone else doing? Any success stories or similar tales of woe? 😀
