just realised I’d written a reply and not hit send! That’s some good pacing rhb, I bet you were a bit sweaty at the end. Way too warm to run hard yesterday. J2R does that mean I’m going to have to setup a new profile now I’ve been found out? ill be having a word with the wymondham guys when I see them next. So glad tomorrow is forecast to be cooler but humidity looks high still. Not sure yet if I’ll race or not, still not feeing right so will make a call in the morning. |

Don't worry, Chris, your secret is safe with me! Sorry, didn't catch up with you today. Had an awful one myself, felt very tired and pretty unwell before the start (familiar migraine-related issue), and almost didn't bother. Ran 18:55 rather than 18:15, which us actually better than I expected at the start. Shame, as conditions were OK. |

Sorry to hear that, such a pain when a random illness gets in the way. Good effort still and I’m not sure it’s the fastest day/course combo. Onto the next one. I thought I’d give it a go and snuck in a sub 18. First mile was ok and I thought something faster might be on but got progressively slower each mile. Next race is on Friday and since my 5 mile pb is over 31 minutes something will have to go seriously wrong if I don’t beat it. |

Sounds like tough days out for you both but hopefully better to come.

@Chris , Worstead? I'll be there. I'll be having a stab at something close to 30.xx. Did 30:38 a couple of months ago at Yarmouth and think I'm in better shape now. Did 29:12 at Worstead 2 years ago but that's not going to happen again. Congrats on today's time, by the way. I think a lot of people slowed down over the course, although the wind was by no means as bad as it often is there. |

Yep that’s the one J2R. I’ve worked up feeling much brighter today so hopefully that’s the lurgy all gone now. Just need to convince myself that yesterday’s run wasn’t too bad given everything. Bit warm and breezy, decided to wear an old pair of vaporflys which have done 400+ miles and I certainly didn’t give it 100% |

Not seeing any reason for doubts for you @Chris, you knew you weren't 100% going in and you ran a minute faster a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday looks to be one to just forget about.

Sizzler on Thursday is going to sizzle looking at the forecast so I think #2 will remain my quickest for the season unless something magical happens.

Magic happened 😅 17.24 in scorching heat, felt sluggish throughout so was surprised. I'm off my (prescribed) stimulant meds and it wasnt until mile 3 I got my HR into the mid 180's so maybe there was more to come if my legs had felt fresher. I usually max around 194 at the finish I think. 1) 1mi - 5:33(5:33/mi) 165/175bpm [916b/mi] 84cal 2) 1mi - 5:38(5:38/mi) 178/182bpm [1002b/mi] 92cal 3) 1mi - 5:37(5:37/mi) 181/185bpm [1017b/mi] 93cal 4) 0.12mi - 36(5:04/mi) 184/187bpm [932b/mi] 11cal |
