Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Thanks for your offer Mandy but you don't need to bring anything other that yourself! The start/finish is basically in the car park so it will be dead easy for me to get anything out of the car if I need it. There will be more than enough cake available so I'm going to take some savoury things in case I need a change from cake!

It starts at 9am, I haven't decided yet what time I'm aiming to get there.

First step in race prep done - my second practice batch of cake has succeeded! I doubt I'll win a prize but I shall be miffed if it doesn't get eaten.

Now I'm tying to persuade myself I don't need to carry water for when I will pass the aid station every 4.5 miles. I can easily go further than that without water in winter.

Well done on the cake making Frag! I wouldn't carry water on lap 1 and then you can see how you feel on the rest of the laps. We usually have a box or picnic bag with goodie in at race HQ with our personal stash of goodies in as well as what is on the table. We take Lucozade and cliff bars etc that we know won't be supplied as we are a bit used to Lucozade and I tend to be fussy what I eat when running.

Shite day at work today, thank God I am on leave the rest of the week.

I'm getting close to a PB on my mile time. Currently 12:17 from Saturday's parkrun, my official PB on here is 11:58 or 11:59 :-o
