Think you just get a stamp at each distillery Lem and you collect miniatures at the end.

Fragile Do Not Bend
😀 I saw the URL and thought it was something to do with a drama. I didn't think whiskey (or is it whisky, I can never remember).

I suppose if there were samples en route, people would be falling in the river!

Fragile Do Not Bend
Trying to decide what running to do this week.

My aim for Saturday's event is to exceed my current furthest distance (which would be 17.5 miles if I complete 4 laps), the time is not important.

I last ran on Wednesday before I got the lurgy, I feel ok today but in today's circuits class I felt like I hadn't exercised for 6 months! I have the option of 2 group runs this week - some sort of speed session tomorrow and a 5-6 mile run at whatever pace I want to do.

Should I do one or both or neither, or something different?

If it were me I would be tapering. I've asked Mr Lemon here and he said at this stage you are not going to gain any fitness this week, so we think just an easy 2-3 miles once or twice this week at a very easy pace. A speed session won't gain you anything now and could risk injury, and a 5 or 6 miler sounds too long. That's just us though, be guided by how you feel and its good to know you are over the lurgy. You'll be in good hands with Traviss and Rachel though, they'll be encouraging you all the way! :-)

Frag, take heed of your name! :) I ran yesterday for the first time after 13 days of no running. It was good, so I should just have a little leg loosener a couple of days before your race and spend the rest of the time letting your body recover.

I should have been in bed by now, I hope to get a couple of hours sleep then I'm off to the white stuff tomorrow on the 3.30 a.m. bus. :-o

See you on the other side. :)

You are probably both right. :) I've got so used to squeezing in as much mileage as I can, chasing a whole-year target, that it's hard to mentally take my foot off the pedal. I shall make do with a yoga class and a slow plod round the block this week. Thanks!
