Morning all. All that betting must have spurred me on. I beat the target I set myself by a minute or so and completed my fastest 5miler of 2016 :)

I managed to maintain the pace I wanted for the first 3 miles but had two very short walk breaks in each of the last miles, but I did some interval bursts in the last mile getting it through in 10:33

I will find the pace I used to have. 2016 has been full of progress :)

Great running Santa.

Just off out to try get a few miles in the bank before we hit the town for some Christmas shopping. May not be too much fun as had a glass or two last night after my stressful afternoon at the opticians.

Well done Andy!

Looks like I will just squeak this year's mileage target, ANOTHER cold has wiped out a few potential running days but I've only got 28 more to do. Fingers crossed!

Well done Santa. Also lurgified here. I shouldn't complain as I have been generally very healthy while all around me have been ill, and it is just in time to be better by Christmas Day. Luckily I've passed my unset mileage target, and this may just spur me on to set a real one for 2017.

Despite a great deal of lurgy here (all in my head and sinuses, not below the neck, fortunately) I actually ran 10 miles this morning :-0. Haven't done that distance since the Gt South in October and didn't intend to do it today, but was delivering Christmas cards so didn't notice the distance til nearly at the end :-)

Nice one Andy :)

Hope you're all are well, not been on here too much this week.

Well I handed my notice in on Friday, I got a call going into work Friday evening and was offered a temp to perm 3 month contract, had to ring my boss and let him know, he didn't want to accept it but did in the end, 12 and a bit yrs I worked at Matalan and they never did me any harm but in the end the job I was offered was to good to turn down, its only a 4 mins drive to work now which will save me a load of petrol money, I'm going to miss my lads though, I came up through the ranks as it were from driver to night shift transport manager, so its a fresh start for me for the new year :)

Merry LG
New year - new start, its always a daunting thought but hopefully it will be what you need.

Took my 5 miles from my 8 miler today, looking good for my 100 miles this month although next week is a bit tight as there are 3 days I doubt I will get a run done but will just need to do a long run on the days I can.

Hope everyone is stressing less about next week...eek can't believe its only a week away. ;-)
