Thanks :)

Had a rubbish run today, I accidentally drunk 5 pints and a bottle of red wine last and was feeling somewhat delicate today, went out for slow 4 miler and only did 1.5 in the end ;)

A lot to remember on here from the weekend but job congrats for Stewie, great running Santa / Andy and Lazy Daisy and everyone else, get well soon hugs for those in lurgy-land or hangover-land ;-)

Busy weekend for me, did get a good five miler done - 30 seconds quicker than last week but not a PB (sorry to any betters). Loads of housework, more Christmas shopping, making up the guest beds, visit in laws, wrap more presents, build shoe rack. And that's a story in itself, the shoe rack:

I have wanted one for years as the boiler cupboard is a mess of running shoes. My Dad was going to make one but never did, our carpenter friend offered but never did, and you know the saying - if you want something doing do it yourself. Yesterday afternoon Mr. Lemon made me one with a little help from me. I will show you a before and after photo at some stage. This possibly belongs on either the mundane thread or the de-cluttering thread (we threw some very old, worn shoes out) but for me it might as well be on the exciting thread because I am so chuffed to bits with it!

Nutso Lazytoad!
Stew lol :)

L10 Sounds very productive, can see why your chuffed with it we have a hallway in need to one that annoys me everytime I see it.

Well I parkran this morning nice steady pootle, even pace no walking quite pleased as it was at a pace I would have bust a gut for onceupon a time. I'm in work until 4.15 on Friday :( so a million things to do this week! Got Thursday afternoon off though for supermarket shopping and cleaning! How rock and roll am I! My intention though is to go to the work gym every lunchtime this week though! Come Thursday Friday nobody will care how long I was there for I reckon!

Hope everyone is well

Lem, what a productive weekend. :) I bought a shoe rack from Lidl? a couple of years back for my under stairs cupboard. It's dark in there but I've got a little battery light. The trouble is that I like to air my shoes before hiding them away so they are still in a heap in the corner. ;-)

Nut, what a manic week for you, hope you survive the week intact. Are you the only one in the household? ;-)

Club run last night - just 2 of us in our group. A classic run of 4.62 miles was 5.29. Every little bit helps to my target of 700 but I won't reach it. I don't mind as I'll smash it next year. ;-)

Well done AR and targets are nice to aim for but they aren't everything when things get in the way.

In saying that I have just done 3 miles which is taking me a step closer to the 100 I wanted this month, I never entered the challenge that DD did but I thought I will just try and do and so far mainly because the weather has been kind I am on target although the next two weeks are a bit messy with days off and watching Alfie and then working full time next week so when I can I get out even if it makes my runs and routes look boring ;-)....next year I will try and run new places

I started the year aiming for 1000 miles, then revised that to 700 and now I am pleased to have just nudged over last years 600! I have been told that after work today I am doing a speed work session and if I don't feel sick at the end I've not tried hard enough :-O

Today in the office it's Christmas music wars. We've had Buble, we've had Doris Day and gawd knows what is now playing but it could be the chipmunks, it's bloody dreadful!

We've got tomorrow off work, we are going for a run first (hopefully the usual weekend 5 mile route) and then we're off to fetch Lemon junior from university (it's only Norwich so not far). Then it's back to work Thursday and I'm off again Friday. Makes me wish I was part time, a 3 day week sounds just about right! Maybe then I could get 1000 miles a year done easily! :-)

Hi hope youre all well

I'm aiming for 700 miles next year, should have about 335 in the bag by new year so think 700 might be doable as I started late this year and have had a ropy couple of months.

Are you still job hunting Lem ?
