Damn Shades, sorry to hear.
Incidentally, I'm looking to offload my Amsterdam place if anyone wants it. Cost me 120 euros so I'm open to offers. It's October 20th.

Cal - before RW forum shut down there was a guy looking for an entry to Amsterdam. Sorry don't know who it was.

As long as transfers are allowable maybe start a new thread on here offering your entry.

WP - I'm OK thanks, not great. I'm eating but have lost my appetite a bit.

I found that I ate to fuel my body but had lost appetite. Painkillers for headaches and plenty of rest and watch that darn RHR.

No change here, but I'm not feeling any worse either.

Great to see Keely win her gold medal last night.

Thanks Shades I will but I'm offering it up to my club first. Might have a taker - she's going to let me know by the end of the week.

What a great 800m final last night. Glad Hodgkinson delivered - we've had a few disappointments with the likes of Asher-Smith (in the 100) and pole vaulters not making the final.

Looking forward to the Kerr/Ingebritsen duel tonight.

Cal - that sounds promising re your Amsterdam place.

Disappointing about Caudery in the pole vault. Sadly not surprised about Bradshaw, she's been struggling for a long time. I wasn't surprised about Asher-Smith either, she says she's in great shape but maybe she'll do better in the 200m. I'd like to see Neita get a medal.

I'm looking forward to the 1500 tonight too, hope it's a good race.

WP - that's good news about your RHR, back into normal range.

You've just got to keep it there now 🙃

About This Thread

Maintained by Shades
Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
