Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ian - the stopping and starting is annoying, that's why I go out so early.

A pound loss a week is perfect, will be much easier to keep off that way.

Big G - I’ve put myself on the waiting list for Valencia. I’ve a busy summer with travel and work coming up so not sure Berlin’s the right timing and 3x in a row is perhaps a bit much! Ideal would be doing New York for fun with my mate who lives there then a stab at Valencia for a time.

WP - Well done on the PT. Squats and deadlifts are the only strength work I do these days

It’s 8 mile day all round as had a heavy legged run into the office this morning and felt the effects of my Sunday long run.

Rcouture: I like deadlifts and squats we also do plank chest press and bench press on this cycle.
Sounds like a good eight miles.

Sounds good for Valencia Rcouture. As you’re so early, I’ll be amazed if you don’t get a place. I can’t remember now, but do you have a place for NYC already?

Shades, yes, I was very happy to hand the role over. I went away from Jacki’s house smiling as I’ve got rid of it. Definitely the right decision for me at the moment.

Big G - No place for NY yet. I’ve put in for the ballot yesterday which is obviously low probability so may then go the tour route.

About This Thread

Maintained by Shades
Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
