Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Three miles for me I opted a hilly route not run for ages and a quarter way up hill achilles and calf not happy so opted to turn around and come back.
I am at the eye hospital later which is 2 hour round trip and time waiting and running the tests. So for the best just a short run today.

WP - glad you managed a run at all. Maybe calf etc just a blip not liking any hill work today.

Hope all tests go well and not too much waiting around.

7+ miles this morning. A little less cold, some light rain but a bitter SE wind in places. One lap of the industrial estate and 6 laps of the little housing estate, which was fairly sheltered from the wind.

Gym later, legs/glutes today.

Shades: Sounds a good run this morning.Enjoy the gym :)

4+ miles this morning and calf behaved as did Achilles but cycle track less steep hills.
OH suffers with really bad muscle spasms/cramps not just legs and put on a new tablet for other things as well but the spasms remained,I am not sure why but I decided to try an electrolite tablet at dinner time and for past 4 days no spasms.

WP - good the calf and achilles were OK today.

I assume you gave the electrolyte tablet to your OH not you. Good they seem to work with the cramps.

Gym nice and quiet today.

WP - I don't think the gym was quiet because of Valentines Day, more likely terrible weather and half term. 😃

I think it's next week here too for most schools but I've seen lots of kids out and about this week. Couple of teenagers on the gym today too.

About This Thread

Maintained by Shades
Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
