I think I'm going to have post circuits DOMS again. My legs are already starting to complain. I think it was the sissy squats, never done them before. 😢 |

I went along to the 6x3-mins session tonight and my paces were where I wanted them to be (ie, not too quick), although this week the coach said to push the last rep, which is what I did. I messed up the button press on the first rep but reps 2-6 were paces of 7:13, 7:11, 7:10, 7:04, and 6:24. Really enjoyed it, felt in control, and I’ll be wearing these new shoes for Seville. AGM afterwards, and I was presented with a voucher for a meal at a nice pub, which was unexpected! I had food after so it was a nice evening out. |

Big G - good session, you're really enjoying your training. Nice committee leaving present, chosen with you in mind 😋 WP - ah, that's where I've heard his name from. 8 miles today. First time this year able to do the return run on the back roads. Although I couldn't really see where I was going for the first mile or so and I had to be careful as it's months since I ran on that road. I wasn't sure if there were any potholes that may have appeared, there weren't but there are a few rough sections. But the road was flooded in one place and I couldn't see how deep it was but managed to walk carefully and keep my feet dry. My On shoes definitely ideal for floods as the water can flow through the holes in the soles. 🤣 Slight DOMS this morning. Shoulders, from the battle ropes I think, and my hamstrings just at the back of my knees from those sissy squats. I'm going to ask Ben to put the sissy squats in my next plan review. No gym today, phew. |

4 miles this morning, nice and easy, but it was a cold wind today on the sea front. Regarding Seville, I’m more comfortable now as I have got the official email with my race number, etc. I’m in the 3:15-3:30 corral so that’s good as well - it is the one I asked for when I got the free place. At training last night, there were 3 other Trotters there also doing the race - people are flying in/out on different days/times and to/from different airports, but we’re hoping to at least meet up on the Sunday after the race. |

Big G - reassuring to have confirmation of Seville and in the right corral too. Will be good to have a Trotters meet up post race |

Yes, looking forward to it now Shades. Not just the race, but the whole weekend. OH is looking forward to it as well, as she wasn’t able to come with me to Seville last time. This time next week I should be in Spain, if everything is on time from Bristol.
