Shades-That is annoying,4° here so no ice anywhere.
We usually buy high5 electrolytes, normally find them for about £4.50 a tube, sometimes have to buy a few to get free delivery. Big G-Thats basically a sub 21. 16 today,I set out to do a bit more, but legs were very tired and dead straight away, think 22 last week,14m of hills and a 8 at MP was a bit much to then expect another long run,if it was April I'd have pushed through but no need yet.3rd 50+ week out of the last 4 completed though.

Aye def a bit cool in the wind up here still. Was fine on way back from shops a bit earlier. Difference between into wind and back down wind.
Another zwifting session this morning, 3 for the week but 70 miles in total.
Will aim to go out for a few miles later on

Ian - a good training week for you.
You did the right thing doing the distance that felt comfortable today.
£4+ish is roughly the price I've paid before for the tabs. I needed to place an order with Decathlon as I wanted to stock up on salt tablets, so will have enough for the year now (being optimistic about the number of races I might do) 🙂
I also wanted a resistance band. As part of my knee rehab in the gym I have been given a great exercise using a resistance band and my knees have definitely been improving. So want to do the exercise at home too.
Keith - I'm not sure if you're running more often or posting on here more often 😉
Frost has gone now but I've no inclination to run now. Roads drying up nicely but light rain coming in tonight so might freeze again. Hope not as I want to run tomorrow 😬.

Shades-Yes it felt like the right decision,I'm also wary about climbing my mileage too high too quickly.I have a few resistance bands that I use for my exercises, still only using light but going to move to medium soon.

At home I already have the wide resistance band for glutes/quads work. But for my knee exercise I need a narrower one, that's strong. I haven't worked out what I'm going to attach it to for the exercise. I don't have heavy furniture and living in a flat options are limited. I'll find something.

Bit over 5k a tad tired and still a bit chilly. Oh and a tree to go over cos feck knows. It was there a month ago.
Will aim to do similar tomorrow in Manchester then not sure when next. Wednesday aiming to do another Zwift thing and doing stuff mothers saturday so need to work out when i am doing the actual event on Zwift.
Ventusky implies it's gonna be 3-6C for the next 2 weeks with no sign of warming. That's midday temps too.

Ian nice weekly mileage.
WP the other half used high 5, I didn’t like the flavours she used. I use precision hydration but they aren’t the cheapest.
Big g hope no issues with the entry, hopefully you’ll get a response from the organisers soon to put your mind at rest.
Shades bad news about the ice, hoping it doesn’t freeze again.
Keith fallen trees are the closest I go to obstacle racing. Good core exercises though mid race.
Yesterday ended up doing housework, out for 10 miles this morning then a bit more housework. Managed to stare at a computer screen for a few hours trying to write my assignment for masters. Really regret starting it now.

Ian - That’s some great training. Probably your most consistent spell for a while no?
Shades - Hope you can get out tomorrow
Keith - Nice 5k and tree jumping
21 miles this afternoon around the river and Battersea park with some faster bits in the second half. Felt pretty good. Have Hampton Ct half this Sunday and wondering whether to have a go at a PB or try and run at MP. I’m not sure im in PB shape as not done enough tempos but will see how I feel.

Rob, many years ago in a different life, I did a masters also. I found it really tough, managing the time. I was lucky as my company paid for me to do it and also gave me some time in work time for the in-person lectures, but once I finally got it done I realised I didn’t want to go any further in terms of qualifications! Good luck with it! Mine was in Telecoms Engineering, and of course I don’t even work in telecoms anymore, so no use to me now! Plus I did mine around 2003 so although the fundamentals are the same, the actual tech has moved on now.
Rcouture, good that you’re considering whether you can aim for a PB at the half. Shows you’re coming back into shape.
Rest day for me today. Although it was a bit lower mileage last week I still ran 6 days, including twice on Wednesday. I feel fine and could easily run, but I’ll take a rest day.
