I put the kettle on the AGA and then we went out in the car to go to Penistone Hill. 3 km and some (surpringly springy) hill sprints later I remembered the kettle . . . we got back and it was whistling nicely :-)

Came back from tonight's race, unpacked my bag and there was my race vest but not the t-shirt i went in. Emailed the girl who gave me a lift, suggesting it might be in the boot when i took it off to put my vest on. Then i realised that i was wearing it.

Walked into the kitchen and had a moment of panicky annoyance at the sight of the freezer door wide open.

Then remembered I was defrosting it.

We unloaded some things from storage and a glass cabinet was by the front door. Every time when I went down the stairs and glanced at the front door I thought it was open because of the reflection of the glass cabinet.

Thankfully it's now been moved.

(meant to post this earlier - but forgot ;) )

I retuned from my early morning run and panicked because my key was not in short's pocket. opened the door and spent 5 minutes frantically searching for the key - couldn't find it and resigned self to going out and retracing steps, Took the key from inside of kitchen door, locked door and was just stuffing key into my pocket whilst walking up the road when I realised...

We have a teapot with a removable sieve. You put the tea-leaves in the sieve, insert the sieve into the teapot and then pour the boiling water into the sieve.

Today I omitted to put the sieve into the teapot before pouring on the water.

Driving to Keswick, my 'phone beeped as I passed a hotel that has wi-fi. "I hope that wasn't VP texting me to say he's already arrived," I thought. "I'll check when I arrive, and tell him where to head for if it is. That's if I've brought my 'phone with me. I can't remember putting it in my bag."

About This Thread

Maintained by ChrisHB
This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
