I doubt it will be to the standard of MET but Aberdeen sport village offer some fitness assessments aberdeensportsvillage.com

Hampden do at the Sports Centre: sportsmedicinecentre.org I know a couple of (very very good) runners who've had VO2 Max tests here and really rate it. |

Thanks MikeR and Duchess. The Hampden one looks good, if a bit expensive, but definitely worth exploring. Will trawl the uni sites too first to see if any of them offer similar services.

Try stirling uni? They have the Scottish Institue of Sport or whatever its called. The other thing is if you can get involved in any studies you could get it done for free potentially

I've often wondered about going to Stirling - I had opportunity to partcipate in a study when I worked in Aberdeen but didn't - wish I had!!

Richy, Herriot Watt have these facilities. Not advertised but if you contact the sports medicine centre they will point you in the right direction.
