I like to be at the part of the course when the runners are giving everything they have. Plus, at that point in the race you get a feel for how folk have run in the previous 10 miles...and have a good idea whether or not they will blow up before the finish ;-)

I'm definitely up for post-Alloa cake much in the same way I'll be preparing this weekend with post-Gartmorn cake.

Will do my best to make some good Gartmorn-cakeage for you... Haven't decided what my contribution to the feast will be yet!

Thanks to SooWoo and other WeeCH's for a mega-cakefest that was Gartmorn 6. Highly recommended for the race route too:)

Further exciting towpath updates :-) Heading towards the canal at Longcroft yesterday I was surprised to find a works gang out. Turns out they were working on the towpath, putting on a top surface over the blacktop; which is the gravel, like at Bonnybridge. Much better:-).

Saw them working on the path at 7.30 am yesterday on my way to the Balloch to Clydebank half. Will try to head out that way again in a couple of weeks to check it out.
