Thanks for asking Pamruns. Appointment reminder came by text this morning but bizzarely doesn't say what for/what clinic. I've been waiting for two appointments/issues! ( Healthy old git!!) . I phoned to find out which one and can't be given that info until Tuesday. I would have thought a letter would have been sent prior to a reminder to about appointments but of course they do sometimes get lost in transit.

Positive vibes in your direction, Steve. Let's hope you get told what you want to hear.

I'm now working mostly at 60:30. I was getting aches and pains after long runs at 30:30 which I suspect was due to the sheer number of transitions from walking to running and back. Although 30:30 is a very agreeable way to plod along the coastal path and enjoy the scenery, 60:30 at present is serving me better in terms of pace during and creakiness after.

Went out for 6x90/120 today, and had a really good run out. Just the 5K in total (including warmup/cool-down) but really enjoyable. A lot of runners and cyclists out, and a large group (maybe 20-30) of swimmers too. Cool conditions, but enjoyable and reminiscent of the early lockdown by being able to run up the middle of what would usually be a busy road.

People posting about their 5k runs at quarter to 8 in the morning ... brings me out in a sweat just thinking about it. I need to vegetate on the sofa and down at least three cups of tea before I'm in any state to do anything!

Thanks Pam and Muttley. Typical, I've also had a text this bank holiday Monday morning from a private hospital informing me of their fees etc following my initial enquiry. Will wait and see the situation tomorrow.
Out at 6.15am almost as usual for me! Five miles at 20/30. It's merely habit Muttley! I can't bear the thought of running AFTER 8am!! That's a good ratio you've found to be best

Nice run there Big_G, it was like lockdown days here this morning too.

I have the ratio I currently run firmly etched in my brain EPix! I know exactly when the bleep is going to sound. If I switch off the gym boss and run/walk to feel my HR creeps up and ruins my enjoyment....bearing in mind that currently my HR is an issue.

Will you use bleeps when you race EPix?
How do you want/intend to pace it overall....giving it everything you've got or finish as fresh as you were early in the race? Giving one's all is uncomfortable yet it might be THE day..
20/30 continues for me and 4miles this morning.
