It is! I love it. Not a fan of running in the heat.

Interesting-was at a different parkrun today which had a hill (which is done twice) and went for walk up the hill, run down then get back into run- walk. Time 33.29 (9secs faster than last week on a flat course). Useful experience as that hill is in my hm next week - feel the walk breaks will stop me continuing at the speed I came down the hill which is good (as this hill is about halfway)

My local parkrun is 3 times round and a little bit added on at the end. I take a short walk break in each of the 3 loops. Not timed; done by "landmarks": - walk from the bin to the bench, then start running again.

Yeah, ideal early morning jennywren, just 6c here. But I don't mind the heat and not looking forward to winter! What a time Pam! Well I'll add "fantastic". Good park run too JenHB and good hill strategy. I've read and personally experienced that running up hills of a certain/very steep gradient will only elevate your HR to the degree that it doesn't always recover as good as desired. Obviously one has to judge according to race distance and goals too. I did 10k at 20/30 early this morning which was my furthest since having covid in July. I dropped down a few seconds on what I've done recently on the run for what is a long run for me to

Good distance, Steve.
I ran-walked parkrun today, 2:30/1:00. 34:12, so nine walks of about 100m each (slightly faster than usual). Running pace works out as sub-31 parkrun average, around 29 for the final 500m.
Last week's all run parkrun, on a slightly easier course, was 33:17. Heart rates were 156/157.

I’m away on holiday this week so having an easy week as I have another ‘short notice’ half marathon next Saturday. Did C25k week 5 run 1 today (5 min run / 3 min walk x 3). Our local parkrun held a pacer event today and my friend led a group of ‘jeffers’ doing 30/30 at a chatty pace. It was so popular that she’s been asked to lead the run/walk group every week.

I walked 1.5 miles to parkrun. Then when the event started I walked 5mins to ensure I didn’t get involved in any ‘races’ and then did 9x60/90, finishing in a jog of about 2mins to get over the line. Did that in about 35mins and then walked the 1.5 miles home, before doing an hour on Zwift about an hour later.

Great park run results Big_G and Dvorak.Doing well there lin50. Jeffing and Chatting works well! Only did 2.5 at 20/30 today brrr it was pretty cold against the wind, not my favourite thing . HR was as it's been for too long and not stabilising to a low enough rate even after warm up period. So it's...plod on!
