Pam runs
Evil pixie. There is a 'race an activity' on Garmin watches which I think is better if you're doing a regular route and you are trying to beat your time.

The pace pro, or whatever itโs called, on the newer Garmins can have a map put on and thenit uses elevation and you can ask for +ve or -ve split and the mile split paces change accordingly. Iโve played with it for runs around home, but would find it too distracting/stressful for a race

First big race tomorrow using run-walk strategy. Any tips? (I've done a run walk repeat sign on the back of my hydration bladder)

Tips JenHB?! Dear me, difficult. I think I'd simply use a ratio that you found gave you the best pace/satisfactory "comfort" level.

Tissington Trail HM today. 60/30 first mile then 30/30 for the rest. Itโs an overall downhill run so was hoping for my average pace to be under 12mm. Finished in 2:33:19 with average of 11.40mm. Pleased with that (even if it is a course PW!)
