I forgot I was doing this and did my run on autopilot and would usually only do 3 miles on a Monday. A second run was necessary also to tidy up a Fetchpoint bug that I had missed first time around.

Still in, 16+ hilly miles taking in part of Beachy Marathon route probably was not the best plan on a day I required 5k

Well I’m gone and a bit trigger therapy with a tennis ball I can categorically say my calf had a knot the size of said tennis ball.
Hamstrings were like over tight wire and I’m annoyed at myself. Work got busy I still ran but my S&C training got waylaid along with stretching and rolling. Lesson learnt (again).

Remember Ron Hill’s run streak was extremely dubious IMO - running with a bunion can’t have been ‘running’!
“I was working to my own rules which said ‘a session will do.’ My son picked me up from hospital the next morning, drove me to a track, and I did one mile using walking sticks [canes], not crutches, which go under the arm pits. I was able to abandon these after seven days but still ran a mile a day in a plaster cast,”

Wow that is unreal!
I have a bunion on my right foot and I’m sure it’s causing a difference in my gait, it can be really painful some days.
I am dplitting today’s run into a lunchtime & post work runs and I’ll be doing some serious stretching. Hoping I can then manage to stay in.
